Just a quick one for my first post. I completed this oil painting over August of my partner, it took me over three years and was sitting unfinished for most of my University Degree. I have absolutely no idea why it took me so long to finish but it’s most likely due to the fact that I didn’t do any preliminary drawings.

Painting or drawing my friends and family has been a hobby of mine since I was about fifteen. It’s a great way of discovering what you love about people’s faces, fashion sense, or just the general atmosphere they give off. With Eleanor it’s the fact that she casually looks beautiful in everything, makes everything feel warm, brightens up every room that she is in and listens to what you are saying. I wanted to attempt to memorialize this in paint.

Can’t wait to pick up a paintbrush again next week and start something new I have been planning!!!
